Jeremy & Dave on the Hunt

The Saturday of Labor Day weekend was the opening day of dove hunting season. Jeremy and his dad went to a farm near Athens, owned by a millionaire (this is the same one Jeremy went to last year) whose house is also his own personal hunting and fishing museum. 

They shot some rounds in the skeet shoot field before heading off to the dove fields where they each shot a few birds.

Jeremy brought the birds home to clean and tried to get our "hunting" lab to show some interest in them - not so much. But at some point, Ace came greeting me with feathers stuck to his nose and whiskers - ha! We marinated, grilled and ate their kill...quite tasty!
